Employers.
Depart Immigration offers expert guidance and immigration services to support employers in their hiring of migrant workers. We specialise in employer accreditation, employer job checks, and work visas for migrants.
Whether you have an existing migrant workforce or are initiating the process for the first time, Depart Immigration can provide you with the necessary guidance and support.
Under new regulations by Immigration New Zealand, employers in New Zealand must be accredited to support work visas. This is a three-step process, which involves becoming an Accredited Employer, completing a Job Check, and submitting an application for an Accredited Employer Work Visa.
We can guide you through this process with our expert advice and support while ensuring all the required documentation and information is in order. Your organisation's requirements may vary depending on your industry and the number of visas you intend to support. Depart Immigration can assist you in demonstrating that your organisation is genuine, has no history of non-compliance with employment and immigration law, and has taken necessary steps to reduce the risk of migrant exploitation.
The Job Check is a crucial step in ensuring that the employment offer complies with New Zealand's employment law and that the remuneration is in line with market rates. In some cases, advertising for New Zealanders may also need to be conducted. Once the Job Check is approved, the migrant can apply for an Accredited Employer Work Visa. We can help the migrant ensure that they meet the required work experience and/or qualifications to perform their job duties, as well as the standard health and character requirements.
